Stone Cottage Restaurant has been catering for intimate anniversaries, special private dinners and small corporate functions for over twenty years. It operates on a personal business model where the majority of patrons are by personal referral, since there has been no advertising for the past twelve years or more.

Opening hours are variable by arrangement with Chef, and strictly by bookings only unless we have the capacity, staff and time and our privately pre-booked functions or anniversary dinners are not compromised.

Many couples have proposed marriage at their table by the fire in ‘The Snug' and have later returned to have a small, intimate wedding reception in the main dining room. And many return every year for their anniversary to re-live the memory.
